Television design, publishing, logo, press, record sleeve, signage, poster, film credits, we have all had before our eyes the fruit of Etienne Robial's work, without knowing it. It is enough to cite a few achievements to take the measure and the scale of his graphic work: Futuropolis editions, (TO BE CONTINUED...), Denoël, L'Equipe, Métal Hurlant, les Enfants du Rock, CANAL+, M6, La Sept, the CNC, PSG, RSA, Penninghen, Bercy, Guédelon, Cité Internationale de la Bande Dessinée et de l'Image, HandiCapZéro, les inRocKuptibles, etc.
Publisher, graphic designer and artistic director Etienne Robial is both a "character" in the first sense of the term, that is to say a man of character but also "a signature".
The film traces his eclectic career and explores his abundant activity in his graphic universes, his collections of objects, his teaching and his enthusiasm as an image transmitter. Etienne Robial is certainly a great image manipulator of his time.
