For me, seaweed was simply a decorative element on the beaches where I like to breathe as often as possible, as well as an olfactory sensation. Of course, I'd heard about the problems of green algae invasion on Brittany's beaches. It was while reading a popular science magazine in which scientists from all over the world explained that seaweed abounds in unsuspected treasures, special molecules loaded with proteins, anti-oxidants, anti-coagulants and anti-virals useful for animal and human health; that the idea of a scientific investigative film struck me. What was it? Simple algae with the ability to replace drugs?
