Rock Lulu

About - Rock Lulu

It could have been called: Hélène et les garçons! But more accurately, it is a fairy tale, with a prince in the key.
At the beginning of this film, the nostalgia of a former student of the Poincaré high school in Nancy to find some friends from the second year class lost from sight for ages. Very quickly, the reunion focuses on the group's hothead, Lulu, who had one day suddenly disappeared from the school landscape to reappear a few years later as the singer of the rock group Lucien et les missiles. The group had become known in the early 80s in the region for its songs in Platt, the "language of Charlemagne"...
After reconnecting with this "old friend", Hélène leads the investigation into the clash that had led her to leave the high school. Little by little the group reforms. And Lulu reconstitutes the Missiles, her rock group... for a "last concert before the end of the world". Once again he will make the Platt ring to the sound of electric guitars.
The investigation conducted, from Bitche to Strasbourg, from Nancy to Meisenthal, around this Prince of Bitcherland, puts Hélène face to face with the History of Moselle, its destiny as a torn land, cut by an invisible linguistic border. And face to face with her own origins, long repressed.
