About - Après la mine

The Mines de Potasse d'Alsace (MDPA) structured miners' lives, including their leisure activities. They created CLU (centers de loisirs utiles), collective carpenter's workshops where miners came to tinker after work at the bottom. Today, the mines have closed and the mining town is changing. To keep the CLU going, the former miners have hired a new workshop instructor, Nicolas, a 25-year-old cabinetmaker from Perpignan. Two cultures and two generations meet.
